Inaugural Seed Grant in Critical Perspectives in Global Health Recipients Announced

The Selection Committee for the Seed Grant in Critical Perspectives in Global Health has completed its review of applications and selected five inaugural grant recipients.

Each will receive $5,000 to support critical global health research which contributes to the research themes of the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research. The research themes are: 1) Planetary Health; 2) Global Health and Humanitarianism; and 3) Global Health Foresighting.

Through this grant, the Dahdaleh Institute seeks to enable and support a critical social science with global public health. This means engaging directly with global public health actors, objects, and systems to transform global public health, while remaining committed to social science theory and methodology. The seed grants are also meant to encourage faculty to develop fuller grant proposals over the 2020 summer for Fall Tri-Council (and other agency or funder) grant deadlines. Each recipient will present their work in progress at a Fall 2020 Workshop on Critical Perspectives in Global Health, where the Dahdaleh Seed Grant Program will begin its second year.

The Seed Grant Selection Committee and the Critical Perspectives in Global Health Steering Committee would like to congratulate the recipients, and thank each of the applicants.
